TRAINING OF EMPLOYEES

  • All staff have been trained on appropriate cleaning and disinfection, hand hygiene, social distancing, and respiratory etiquette
  • All staff have completed updated OSHA/INFECTION CONTROL and HIPAA training.

 

SCREENING BEFORE COMING INTO CLINIC

  • Patients/Caregivers/Visitors shall bring in and wear their own cloth face coverings/mask.
  • Completion of COVID-19 Questionnaire will be required for each person on first visit to clinic
  • Verbal confirmation will be requested that there have been no changes in questionnaire answers on each successive visit.
  • Guidelines for COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire. Active screening for symptoms of staff, patients, and visitors shall take place daily as people enter our center. Individuals with two or more symptoms (new or changed symptoms) listed on the screening tool, will not be allowed to return to the clinic until:
  • Individual with known close contact to a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 shall not return to the clinic until the end of a 10 to 14-day self-quarantine period from the last date of exposure. Symptoms, if any exist, will be monitored for safe return, and their presence will prolong quarantine, for Medical Director review.
  • In the case of diagnosis with COVID-19, the individual may return to the clinic when all three of the following criteria are met: at least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery (resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications); and the individual has resolution of respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and at least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared; or
  • In the case of someone who has symptoms that could be COVID-19 and does not get evaluated by a medical professional or tested for COVID-19, the individual is assumed to have COVID-19, and the individual may not return to the clinic until the individual has completed the same three-step criteria listed above; or
  • If the individual has symptoms that could be COVID-19 and wants to return to the clinic before completing the above self-isolation period, the individual must obtain a medical professional’s note, clearing the individual for return based on an alternative diagnosis, subject to review by the Medical Director.
  • Upon entering the center, we will take temperatures of all staff, patients, and visitors coming into clinic daily
  • We will maintain staff log of temperatures, and have surgical masks available to staff daily
  • All staff/patients/visitors shall wear mask while in clinic, with the exception for staff member who is solely in their personal office or closed-in private workspace with no other person(s) in that area.
  • All staff/patients/visitors shall wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the clinic.

 

 

REINFORCED CLEANING POLICIES

  • Staff shall be assigned and regularly/frequently clean and disinfect any commonly touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, tables, chairs, and restrooms
  • Staff shall clean any equipment and items which come into contact with patients/caregivers

 

HAND SANITIZING

  • We ask that patients/caregivers/visitors continue to practice good hand hygiene upon entering clinic
  • Hand sanitizer is setup throughout the center
  • Hand soap is located at all sinks
  • Staff shall continue to use appropriate hand hygiene between patients

 

STOP THE SPREAD

  • Readily visible signage is placed around the clinic, to remind everyone of best hygiene practices
  • Parties shall maintain at least 6 feet separation from other individuals. If such distancing is not feasible (e.g., hands-on therapy session), other measures such as face covering, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness, and sanitation should be rigorously practiced.
  • Contactless payment is encouraged. Where not available, contact should be minimized.
  • Lobby Seating: Use of lobby seating will be limited.  We ask that caregivers/guests respect social distancing and sit at least 6 feet apart from any other guest.
  • We ask that pets not come to therapy sessions. Therapy and Emotional Support animals are still welcome.
  • As always, if you feel ill, think you may have a contagious illness, or have been in contact with an individual who has an illness, please STAY AT HOME. We have many patients with compromised immune systems and a simple virus could be serious to many patients at the center
  • We have waived all cancellation fees for illness. Please call us in advance to let us know if you are sick and know that we wish you a speedy recovery!
  • NKX/NRC team members reserve the right to ask patients/caregivers to leave the clinic, based on professional discretion.
